Why runners pick it

The fragment design x Nike Mind 002 Flyknit "Particle Grey" is one of the most anticipated Nike collaborations of 2026, bringing Hiroshi Fujiwara's signature industrial minimalism to the Swoosh's neuroscience-backed Mind series. Part of the fragment Concept Testing collection, this pair swaps the standard Mind 002 construction for a premium tonal Particle Grey Flyknit upper, exposed Flywire cables, and a pulley-style lacing system. The chunky sculpted midsole is stamped with "FRAGMENT CONCEPT TESTING" typography, while the double lightning bolt logo sits discreetly on the heel and insoles, giving the silhouette a lab-inspired, sample-like finish that only Hiroshi could pull off. Discover more from the wider Mind lineup on the Nike Mind 002 collection. Beneath the redesigned upper, the Mind 002 keeps what makes the series revolutionary. Developed in Nike's Mind Science Department, 22 independent foam nodes sit on the footbed and move against your foot to activate sensory areas of the brain, helping you stay present whether you're warming up, cooling down, or moving through the city. On this fragment edition, those pods appear in the designer's signature royal blue for a hidden pop of color underfoot.
